Overview
White-fronted Parrot: Small green parrot with conspicuous red mask and white forehead. Wing has red and blue edgings that show up as patches of color in flight. Tail is short and squared with a faintly yellow band at the tip. Females lack the red in the wing. Juveniles have reduced amounts of red on face, and forehead is yellowish rather than white.
Range and Habitat
White-fronted Parrot: Ranges from northern Mexico to Costa Rica. Widespread resident in the lowlands and foothills of the Pacific Slope, in a variety of forests and open areas.
